Manual vacuum forming equipment is used for car floor mats

The device is divided into two parts
1. Oven for heating TPE car floor mats
2. Vacuum forming mold for vacuum forming car mats

For car mats:
Goal: Creation of individual mats that perfectly follow the contour of the car floor.
Material: Thick (2.0-6.0 mm) wear-resistant materials (ABS, PP, composites).
Process: A single sheet is heated and vacuum-wrapped around a large, precise model (punch) of the floor of a specific machine. After cooling, the product is cut.
The essence: Individualization, precise fit, small series for car tuning.

How Vacuum Forming Molds Work
The vacuum forming process can be reduced to the following three main steps:
Heating: The cut plastic sheet is fixed to the blister frame and heated to a soft, pliable state (usually in a highly elastic state) using a heater (e.g. quartz tube, ceramic tube).
Molding: Quickly move the heated sheet over the mold and cover the seal. The inside of the mold is evacuated through countless small holes (vacuum holes) that have been drilled in advance. Under the influence of atmospheric pressure, the soft sheet is tightly “adsorbed” or “pulled” onto each part of the mold profile.
Cooling and Release: The sheet is stored in a vacuum state on the mold and is rapidly cooled and formed by means such as air or water cooling. Then release the vacuum to remove the formed foot pad from the mold, and then carry out subsequent trimming, edging and other processing.

A typical vacuum blister form mainly consists of the following parts:
1. Shape (base):
◦ Material: Typically made from high quality aluminum alloy (such as 6061) milled as one piece on a CNC machining center. Aluminum alloys have advantages such as fast thermal conductivity, light weight and ease of processing.
◦ Function: This is the main body of the mold, the surface of which accurately follows the three-dimensional shape of the car floor (carpet), including all the details such as the footrest convexity, center channel, seat sliding grooves, etc.
2. Vacuum system:
◦ Vacuum holes: A large number of small holes with a diameter of about 0.8-1.5 mm are drilled on the surface of the mold, especially in complex contours and parts with deep cavities. These holes are vacuum-adsorbed channels.
◦ Vacuum Reservoirs: At the back of the mold, these vacuum ports are connected by a network of machined vacuum reservoirs that eventually converge into a main vacuum tube.
◦ Vacuum Interface: Interface for connection to an external vacuum pump.
3. Temperature control system (optional, but important):
◦ For high-precision or complex products, cooling water pipes are built into the mold. The goal is to speed up product cooling, improve production efficiency, and reduce product deformation due to uneven cooling.
