Extruder for pvc profile: features and principles of operation
Currently, PVC profiles are used in many industries, such as construction, automotive, furniture, etc. For their production, special extruders are used, which we will discuss in this article.
An extruder is a machine that is used to melt PVC granules and shape them into the desired shape. It consists of the following main components:
– Screw extruder, which serves to mix and heat the material.
– Forming head, which forms a profile from molten PVC.
– Cooling system that ensures rapid cooling of the profile.
– A cutter that cuts the profile to the required length.
The operating principle of the extruder is quite simple. PVC granules are loaded into a screw extruder, where they are heated and mixed until a homogeneous mass is obtained. This mass then passes through a molding head where it is shaped into the desired shape. After this, the profile is cooled and cut to the required length.
There are many different types of extruders, which differ in their power, productivity and other parameters. The choice of a specific type of extruder depends on the profile requirements and production volumes.
